Again, this one is based on a true story (as are most funny things). The other day while helping my daughter with second grade social studies homework, her book essentially defined a word by simply using a variation of that word! Here's a hint, if you define a word using some form of that word, you haven't given a very good definition!

Taking too long

This one is based on an audio book I once found in a book store. Something along the lines of how to influence people if you only had 2 minutes of their time. The total running time of the CD was about an hour and a half! If the concepts in that audio book really worked, wouldn't it only be a 2 minute audio CD?!

That's Entertainment?

Never could figure out why so many people are intently interested in the goings on in the lives of celebrities. There are sections of newspapers devoted to the entertainment industry and there's even a cable television channel devoted to it as well! If you work in the industry, then that's great to have access to that kind of information, but if you're not, go do something with your life! Read a book, play with your kids, something! Who cares what some spoiled entertainer did to earn the obligatory stay at a rehab, or who wore what on the red carpet, etc. Even the lives of celebrities seem scripted any more: rise to the top, create/endure a scandal, make a triumphant comeback, etc. Gets old.
