Text Appeal

I actually saw this happen the other day at a restaurant. Two teen girls were sitting at a booth and both had their heads down, texting on their cell phones. This went on for a good 10-15 uninterrupted minutes. Each lost in their own little digital world. I'm not sure if they were texting back and forth to each other, but it was just a really strange thing to see. How one can shut others out in public while you converse with someone else at a different geographic location is, to me, pretty strange. Just no consideration given to the people who are actually around you. Makes you wonder what constitutes rudeness these days, if anything still does.

What? What did I say?

The name of an organization or business is very important, one that should be thought out with considerable effort. Last thing you want is to turn people off from what you have to offer. My favorite example of all time is the website "Experts Exchange" which originally had a web address that read "expertsexchange.com". When read just right, you'd read "expert sex change" instead of "experts exchange". They have long ago corrected their address by adding a dash between the two words, but just goes to show how bizarre perceptions can come from the most unlikely of places.

After Dinner Sweat

There have been a few times where the spicy food I was eating, be it Chinese, Mexican, Thai, what have you, where I've broken out into an uncontrollable sweat right there in the restaurant. That's when I know I've gotten hold of some good spicy food! Only wish I had thought to bring sweatbands and a towel.
