I don't usually venture inside a gas station convenience store, but when I do, I'm stunned at the sizes of the soda fountain cups being sold. For one I'm amazed the human bladder can hold and/or process that amount of liquid and second, I estimate that in a 44 ounce cup of non-diet soda, that amounts to nearly a third of the calories a typical adult should consume in any given day! It is easy to see why Americans have weight issues, every where we turn there are oversized portions marketed to us. Eventually we lose our perspective and give in without realizing it. Just talking about this makes me feel like I should go jog or something!
